DAVE BIO PICK.JPG

Ever since I can remember, I’ve enjoyed baking. As a kid, I rushed home from school to watch “Great Chefs of the West” on the Discovery Channel, marveling at the pastry portion of the show. I’d like to tell you that I went on to become a great chef, but life is filled with distractions.

After a 12-year stint working in food and beverage in NYC, I made my way out West, mainly to follow a woman that would later become my wife. I attended chef school in Los Angeles, and eventually the San Francisco Baking Institute (SFBI) to focus on bread. After completing my education in bread baking, I was an apprentice for the production team at SFBI. We created hundreds of baked goods each day for thorough bread and B. Patisserie.

I LOVED IT.

Life had come full circle and I felt like a kid again. I became obsessed, reading every book on the subject of sourdough and fermentation that I could get my hands on.

I want to share my obsession with you, my community. I hope you enjoy my breads, jams, and spreads. I hope making toast brings you joy. I’m glad we are neighbors.

PEACE AND LOVE,
